About Compass Rose
I'm Rosie.
After 20 years in academia – from student to lecturer to tenure track to tenure – I have the experience to guide you through difficult times. Whether you are starting your first faculty position and would like to join a group coaching cohort, or you're an established researcher struggling to bring a book idea together, I can help you find your way.
I started Compass Rose Editing because scholars deserve a partner who understands the often opaque and conflicting nature of academic life – from teaching to publishing to navigating university norms and politics.

PhD Research Instruction and Training
I offer one on one and group instruction on dissertation proposal preparation, research design, and writing assistance. I work with department chairs and PhD program advisors to help their students move through the various stages of work and achieve their goals.
